SGG Stadip Silence® is a laminated acoustic and security glazing made from two sheets of glass bonded with special Silence PVB interlayers. These interlayers, 0.38 or 0.76 mm, have specific acoustic attenuation properties that completely eliminate the fall in acoustic insulation performance produced at the critical frequency of the glass.
It increases acoustic attenuation between 2 and 5 dB compared with monolithic glass or classic laminated glass of the same thickness.
Its acoustic performance is similar to acoustic resin, but with added optical and security advantages.
It can be used for partitions and acoustic screens or incorporated into double glazing for facades in noisy areas or areas with vandalism risks.
Its use on roofs and in skylights not only protects from exterior noise and falling objects, but also attenuates the noise produced by rainfall.

The important reduction in the thickness required to obtain the same level of insulation as monolithic glass also implies an important reduction in weight, making their use possible even in domestic installations.
