KaRo is a radiant heating and cooling system made up of flexible capillary tubes ∅=2 mm, through which circulates water between 15 and 35 °C. Produced in copper or polypropylene, and due to the proximity of the tubes, the emission is uniform, close to theoretical performance values –thermal affectivity is superior to 98%-.
The same installation permits the simultaneous heating and cooling in different parts of the same building, through the incorporation of hydraulic stations. The distribution is concealed with a plaster finish or can be integrated into hung ceiling panels –metal or mineral fiber-. A security probe integrated in the ceiling controls the temperature so that it doesn’t exceed the dew point, guaranteeing the absence of condensations. As opposed to other types of heating and cooling systems, both distribution and generation require very little space, making this an ideal system for installation in historic buildings.
