Anchors/ Anchors for glass elements
SGG Point® is a system made up of a series of stainless steel bolts that support glass panels at 4 to 6 points and brackets with between 1 and 4 arms that attach both to the bolts and to the bearing structure. The glass must always be heat strengthened (Securipoint), with any of the additional optional characteristics: monolithic, laminated, double glazed with air space, curved, clear, solar control or low-emissivity, with thickness of 8, 10, 12, 15 and 19 mm. Applications: facades (inclined, curtain wall, etc.), overhead glazing, wall clading, street furniture, interior partitions, etc.
-SGG Point S: fitting with articulated joint for single glazing. Formed by a fitting countersunk into the glass, either protruding or flush with the surface of the glass. A bearing in the fitting allows the free movement of the glass as it is subjected to wind pressure. The assembly is held together by a steel locking ring and plastic washers that prevent contact between glass and metal.
-SGG Point D: fittings with articulated joints for double glazing with a 15 mm air space. The two lites of glass are held by the fitting, which is basically the same as the S system, except that in this case the articulated joint is located within the thickness of the exterior lite of glass.
-SGG Point SLW: fixed fitting for monolithic glass. The articulated joint is replaced by a 60 mm diameter stainless steel bolt with a flat cylindrical head.
-SGG Point DLW: fixed fittings for double glazing with air space. Only the interior lite, which must always be laminated, is connected to the fitting. In this way a thermal break is maintained and a greater variety of solar control surface treatments can be applied to the exterior lite.
-SGG Point XS: it comprises a bolt which does not completely penetrate the glass. This fixing is integrated into the actual thickness of the glass component.
