Sadev Classic is a system of turnbuckles and anchors with intermittent fasteners and crosses for single and insulated structural glazing.
The glass is attached to the bearing structure with spider brackets, rigid stainless steel elements (cast or cut from plates) which hold the glass fasteners. They can have up to four arms, depending on the number of glazing panels to be attached.
The anchors can be rigid, for small size glazing with no wind load, or articulated. These are stainless steel elements which absorb the deflection produced by the weight of the glass and the wind load. They permit adjustment during installation and gauging of the glass to obtain a curved effect in the cladding. The articulated connection is attached to the glass at the corner through a previously milled, tapered hole. The anchor is formed by a box with an exterior cover, where the head of the articulated connection is placed; two elastic washers; a tubular aluminium washer that is deformed by the pressure of the connection to the articulated fastener, thus adapting to its internal threads and absorbing tensions; in addition to other nuts and washers. The two parts of the box are pressed together.
The company’s catalogue includes joint profiles for non-ventilating facades: extruded silicon profiles for glazing joints and accordion-shaped silicone profiles for expansion joints.
