Prismasolar® is a tempered glass panel that takes advantage of the solar reflection produced in reduced angles of incidence. Its exterior surface is jagged in section, permitting the sun’s rays to pass in winter (90%) while reflecting the rays in summer (only 10% are allowed to pass). This creates a fixed solar protection, translucent and selective according to season.
The preferred installation for Prismasolar® glass is in south facing facades, either forming light diffusing panels integrated into glazing frames, or attached to the exterior of Trombe walls or translucent insulating panels. It can also be included in the air space of a double glazed window.
