Datastop is a coated glass, especially designed to protect the information contained in computers from electromagnetic radiation. The electromagnetic waves, generated by the actual computers, radar and other electronic devices, create annoying signals and interference that can destroy data and work stored in computers.
It is produced both in laminated glass and double glazing, and at least two faces are coated with two or more electrically conductive layers that reflect the electromagnetic signals, and at the same time permit clear visibility and a high level of light transmission.
It can be used in fixed exterior windows or panels, in interior partitions and in closed spaces. In all cases, the glass should be electrically connected to the frame in its entire perimeter, and in turn, the framing must be electrically connected to the enclosure (walls, floors, and ceiling), so that they form a hermetically sealed whole blocking the electromagnetic radiation.
It is available in clear, gold, bronze, gray and blue, with maximum dimensions for laminated glass of 1.30 x 2.40 m, and 2.00 x 3.50 m for double glazing with an air space.
