Finsa, a company specialising in the industrial fabrication of engineered wood products, has developed the Panner system of insulated wood panels for partitions, wall linings and division walls. The panel has a fibreboard exterior surface and a wood particle board interior surface, both15 to 18 mm thick, with a semi-rigid, thermal-acoustic mineral wool insulation core. The interior framing is made from 70 x 38 mm wood studs, sill and top plates, although a version using a galvanized steel stud substructure is also available. The resulting wall section has a high loading capacity and is impact resistant.
Panner panels are made with wood harvested from sustainable forests and plantations, with PEFC and/or FSC certification, guaranteeing that the forest and the chain of custody associated with the transformation process comply with strict criteria of environmental and social protection.

The dry-mounting system plus the strength and light weight of the wood make the PANNER system ideal for renovation projects to avoid additional loading on existing structures.

Installation of the Panner system: <br/>- An acoustic strip is adhered to the underside of the base plate

Installation of the Panner system:
- An acoustic strip is adhered to the underside of the base plate.
- The vertical studs are screwed to the base plate at 600 mm on center.
- After screwing the panel to the studs, the panel joints are caulked.
- A filler paste is applied with a spatula over the joint, which is then taped and finished with a final layer of paste to provide a smooth surface.

The wood panel permits all types of finishes.
