Pila is a flexible modular system for the construction of office cubicles or small pavilions for trade shows, exhibitions, outdoor use, etc. They are built out of anodized aluminum bars with a natural finish, cast steel connectors and auxiliary elements, like diagonal braces, trusses and high-strength steel angle reinforcements.
The dimensions of the elements determine the structural type:
—Pila, with 130 x 130 x 130 mm connectors and 127 x 127 mm bars (for large spaces with volumes of more than 100 m²).
—Pila Petite: with 80 x 80 x 80 mm connectors and 77 x 77 mm bars (for pavilions, stores, trade fair stands …).
—Pila Mini, with 40 x 40 x 40 mm connectors and 37 x 37 mm bars (for furnishings, display cases...) (all of these systems have ø6 mm diagonal braces).
Pila Petite can be used to make tree-like structures with dimensions up to 12 x 12 m (Pila Flying Ceiling). The company also offers solutions designed for offices that combine the Pila system with different acoustic and enclosure elements (Pila Office).
Two different grids are available: 980 or 1200 mm and four different connection types that permit attachment of a wide variety of materials for the formation of walls and roofs, also offered by this company, together with accessories like doors, lighting, etc.
