Poraver® expanded glass granules are manufactured from ground recycled glass, water, binders and expansive agents. They are white-coloured spheres, with thermal conductivity of 0.07 W/mK and compressive strength between 2.8 and1.2 N/mm², depending on the aggregate size. The granules are available in six standard dimensions from 0.1-0.3 mm to 4-8 mm. They can be used in lightweight concrete, mortar for laying insulated concrete blocks, lightweight insulating stucco finishes, lightweight panel and board substrates for rendered finishes and acoustic panels. In dry form they can serve as fill for cavity walls. When mixed with cement and resin they can be used for load-bearing insulation. They can also be mixed with other lightweight aggregates such as expanded clays, pumice stone or perlite.
