The SureCav waterproofing sheeting acts as a spacer between masonry or rough stone exterior cladding and the bearing wall behind them, thus guaranteeing a 50 mm thick ventilated cavity. The nodular sheet is made of high-density vacuum-formed polyethylene. It is supplied in sheets of 1200 x 450 x 2 mm. The sheets are joined using H profiles, 900 mm long for horizontal joints and 390 mm long for vertical joints. The system includes tie fasteners with clips that both fasten the insulation and help stabilize the exterior finish layer. The sheeting is used for building exterior masonry or rough stone walls over bearing walls of brick, concrete block, stone or wood framing. A vapor barrier should be installed on the outer face of the bearing wall to prevent interstitial condensation.
