Aquatherm Climasystem is a heating and cooling system using panels made of square polypropylene tubes, 1.2 x 1.2 cm in section and spaced every 4 cm. The panels can be installed in suspended ceilings –over metal, gypsum board or plaster panels– and in drywall partitions. Due to their thin section (2.45 cm including collector, fastening rail and connections), they can also be embedded in both horizontal and vertical plaster surfaces. This type of installation takes advantage of the thermal inertia of the construction. The panels are joined by welding or with an added coupling. They are available in the following sizes: 57.5 x 57.5 cm and 61.5 x 61.5 cm for modular suspended ceilings, and from 24 to 60 cm wide and 50 to 500 cm long for embedding in plaster. The system uses a reduced temperature of impulsion (25-35º C), making it compatible with solar or geothermal energy sources. The admissible temperature for hot water is 70º C, and the service pressure is 4 bars.
Heating and cooling panels installed inside a drywall partition.
Aquatherm Climasystem fixed to the slab before being covered with a 3 to 3.5 cm thick coat of plaster.
Welded connection between panels.
The suspended ceiling panels are isolated from the plenum with a 3 cm thick fiberglass blanket. View from above and below.
